Rules and Regulations for Membership at Canada Air Virtual®.

1) Please take a moment to

1.1) Adjust your email spam (junk email) filters (especially G-Mail accounts) to accept incoming messages from staffteam@canadaairvirtual.ca as you will receive important information regarding the status of application from this e-mail address.
1.2) Registrations can be denied for any of the following reasons:

1.2.1) Full or Part of my real name is written in capital (CAPITAL) letters.

1.2.2) Invalid Birth Date.

1.2.3) Invalid e‐mail account.

1.2.4) False location given on registration.

1.2.5) Any other valid reason given by staff.



2) Canada Air Virtual® is always looking for new pilots of all experience levels to join

2.1) Applicant must be over the age of 13.
2.2) Full name (first and last) upon registration must be provided. Applicants must submit their true identity. Not submitting your true identity will result in termination of membership.
2.3) Valid version of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004, Microsoft Flight Simulator X, Microsoft Flight Simulator Steam Edition, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, Prepar3D 32 bit, Prepar3D v4, Prepar3D v5, X-Plane 10, X-Plane 11 or X-Plane 12 is used in conjunction with CAVacars.
2.4) Valid and active email address must be maintained on file.
2.5) Access to the Canada Air Virtual® website is a privilege, not a right. Canada Air Virtual® reserves the right to suspend or terminate any members account without notice. If a member is removed from the roster as a result of Administration level action, they shall be permanently banned from re-joining Canada Air Virtual® in the future.

3) Flight Reporting (PIREPS)

3.1) New pilots must use CAVacars to submit their first flight report within seven (7) days of their registration acceptance, otherwise their account will simply be deleted.
3.2) After First Flight: Pilots must use CAVacars to submit a minimum of one (1) flight report per Calendar month to remain on the active roster. Pilots not meeting our minimum activity requirement for any given Calendar month will be placed on our inactive roster at the end of that month. Inactive pilots still remaining on our inactive roster after fourteen (14) days will simply be deleted without notice.
3.3) Maximum Sim Rate: 1x
3.4) No Slewing
3.5) No excessive stalls or overspeeds.
3.6) No Airspeed > 250 KIAS < 10,000 ft.
3.7) The acceptable touchdown rate must be between -750 fpm and +150fpm.

4) Transfer Hours

4.1) Canada Air Virtual® accepts 100% of your VATSIM, IVAO or other virtual airline hours.
4.2) Applicants must provide a valid URL link to verify requested transfer hours. If a valid URL link is not provide, any requested transfer hours will not be added to your profile.
4.3) Transfer hours will be added to your profile once your first flight report (PIREP) has been approved.

5) Policies / Pilot Handbook Pages

5.1) Members will read, understand and abide by all policies stated on the Canada Air Virtual® Policies Page and Pilot Handbook Page.
5.2) Canada Air Virtual® reserves the right to revoke membership of any member who violates policies outlined.
5.3) As a member, you understand that Canada Air Virtual® is a non-profit virtual airline run by flight simulation enthusiasts with no affiliation or sponsorship from any real world airline or corporations.

6) Code Of Conduct

6.1) Canada Air Virtual® is run by volunteers who work very hard on running our VA. In order to provide an enjoyable VA experience to all members, we have established a Code of Conduct. This Code of Conduct is not designed to confine or restrict our member's activities, but rather ensure that Canada Air Virtual® remains a safe, friendly, fun and enjoyable environment for all

6.2) The Code of Conduct serves to set minimum standards of conduct by which all members of Canada Air Virtual® are required to adhere to. We strive to be a community that welcomes and supports people of all backgrounds. Everyone in the community deserves to be treated with respect, whether you agree with them or not. We understand that from time to time there will be differences in opinion. While we respect these differences and promote active discussion, the following are considered to be unacceptable behavior

This includes, but is not limited to:

Public or private harassment, insults or threatening

Profanity, vulgarity or derogatory comments towards any member

Personal, religious or political attacks

Trolling/sharing private information of other
6.3) Any form of bullying is NOT accepted under any circumstances. Should a member conduct themselves in a disruptive/inappropriate manner their membership will be terminated and a permanent ban will be placed into effect immediately


7) Registration

7.1) Canada Air Virtual® receives a large volume of applications and it may take 24 - 72 hours to process your registration.
7.2) Before continuing, please take a moment and review our Rules and Regulations, Policies and Pilot Handbook. In order to start your virtual career with Canada Air Virtual®, you must read, understand, and agree to abide by these documents. Additionally, to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you must also give consent to allow Canada Air Virtual® to collect personal data as described in our Privacy Policy per the GDPR.
7.3) By completing and submitting this registration, you are agreeing to our Rules and Regulations, Policies and Pilots Handbook. You also consent to allow Canada Air Virtual® to collect personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
