Rules and Regulations for Membership at Canada Air Virtual.

1) Please take a moment to

1.1) Adjust your email spam (junk email) filters (especially G-Mail accounts) to accept incoming messages from staffteam@canadaairvirtual.ca as you will receive important information regarding the status of application from this e-mail address.
1.2) Applicants must provide a valid email address. Registrations with an un-deliverable email address will simply be deleted, as Canada Air Virtual has no way of contacting applicant. Please take a moment to check all spelling before submitting.

2) Canada Air Virtual is always looking for new pilots of all experience levels to join our community.

2.1) Applicant must be over the age of 13.
2.2) Full name (first and last) upon registration must be provided. Applicants must submit their true identity. Not submitting your true identity will result in termination of membership.
2.3) Valid version of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004, Microsoft Flight Simulator X, Microsoft Flight Simulator Steam Edition, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, Prepar3D 32 bit, Prepar3D v4, Prepar3D v5, X-Plane 10 or X-Plane 11 is used in conjunction with CAVacars.
2.4) Valid and active email address must be maintained on file.
2.5) Canada Air Virtual reserves the right to suspend or terminate any members account without notice.

3) Flight Reporting (PIREPS)

3.1) Applicants must submit their first flight report within seven (7) days of registration acceptance using CAVacars to remain on our roster.
3.2) A minimum of one (1) flight must be submitted every Calendar Month using CAVacars to remain active on our roster. If a pilot finds he/she can not meet this Minimum Activity Requirement, it is the pilot's responsibility to submit an LOA request. LOA requests that are submitted after a pilot has been already placed on the inactive roster will not be accepted..
3.3) Maximum Sim Rate: 1x
3.4) No Slewing
3.5) No excessive overspeeds (maintained for more than 3 minutes)
3.6) No excessive speed, in relation to the flight altitude (> 250 KIAS < 10,000 ft)
3.7) Maximum Landing Rate - minus seven hundred fifty ( -750 fpm )

4) Transfer Hours

4.1) Canada Air accepts 100% of your VATSIM, IVAO or other virtual airline hours.
4.2) Applicants must provide a valid URL link to verify requested transfer hours. If a valid URL link is not provide, any requested transfer hours will not be added to your profile.
4.3) Transfer hours will be added to your profile once your first flight report (PIREP) has been approved.

5) Policies / Pilot Handbook Pages

5.1) Members will read, understand and abide by all policies stated on Canada Air Virtuals Policies Page and Pilot Handbook Page.
5.2) Canada Air Virtual reserves the right to revoke membership of any member who violates policies outlined.
5.3) As a member, you understand that Canada Air Virtual is a non-profit virtual airline run by flight simulation enthusiasts with no affiliation or sponsorship from any real world airline or corporations.

6) Code Of Conduct

6.1) Canada Air is run by volunteers who work very hard on running our VA. In order to provide an enjoyable VA experience to all members, we have established a Code of Conduct. This Code of Conduct is not designed to confine or restrict our member's activities, but rather ensure that Canada Air remains a safe, friendly, fun and enjoyable environment for all

Be respectful

Be careful in the words that you choose


6.2) The Code of Conduct serves to set minimum standards of conduct by which all members of Canada Air are required to adhere to. We strive to be a community that welcomes and supports people of all backgrounds. Everyone in the community deserves to be treated with respect, whether you agree with them or not. We understand that from time to time there will be differences in opinion. While we respect these differences and promote active discussion, the following are considered to be unacceptable behavior

This includes, but is not limited to:

Public or private harassment, insults or threatening

Profanity, vulgarity or derogatory comments towards any member

Personal, religious or political attacks

Trolling/sharing private information of other community members


6.3) Any form of bullying is NOT accepted under any circumstances. Should a member conduct themselves in a disruptive/inappropriate manner their membership will be terminated and a permanent ban will be placed into effect immediately


7) Registration

7.1) Canada Air receives a large volume of applications and it may take up to 24 hours to process your registration.
7.2) Before continuing, please take a moment and review our Rules and Regulations, Policies and Pilot Handbook. In order to start your virtual career with Canada Air Virtual, you must read, understand, and agree to abide by these documents. Additionally, to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you must also give consent to allow Canada Air Virtual to collect personal data as described in our Privacy Policy per the GDPR.
7.3) By completing and submitting this registration, you are agreeing to our Rules and Regulations, Policies and Pilots Handbook. You also consent to allow Canada Air Virtual to collect personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
